pre-searing questions
I started a new char so I could help a friend and while I'm waiting in pre-searing to hook up, I think I have done all the quest and killed most every thing I can locate (except the charr past the gate, they are a tough solo since they are in large groups ) Since I've always jumped right to the searing, this is the longest I have explored this part of the game. Anyone ever reach a high level in pre-searing ? Is there any reason to hang out here really ? I also see people offering a lot of stuff I dont understand how they got it here since I cant find a z chest to get to my storage ?

There are plenty of L20 characters in Pre-Searing thanks partly to the Legendary Defender of Ascalon title, though also a fair number from before the title was implemented....

There was an exploit where people from pre-searing could travel to their guild hall grab their item they want then travel back to pre.

Reason to stay? Some people do for the LDoA title, others to farm dye, others to farm Nick items, others just to enjoy pre. It's a reasonable escape from the mainstream game.

You can get gifts from Nick every day (as opposed to weekly in post-sear) if you farm the items, which requires little effort and only a bit of time. Well worth it.

Most things that are being offered are available in Pre-Searing. People spend a lot of time in that area of the game and the accumulate a lot of stuff.
It is entirely possible to get to level 16 by playing and killing foes, however it is only really necessary if you are planning on turning your character into a Legendary Defender of Ascalon (as mentioned above). |

The only "storage" in pre, is your backpack, belt pouch, an equipment pack, and 2 Charr bags. These give you 50 storage slots. You get the equipment pack by trading 50 red iris flowers for it. The Charr bosses drop the Charr bags, or you can buy from other players. The Charr bosses also drop a Charr salvage kit, same as an Expert kit in post. These 5 use can salvage runes, insigs, and weapon mods.
Depending on your class, you can solo charr as low as lvl 6 to 8, or find someone to help you. Lots of people seem to be willing to help farm the charr. Farming items for Nicholas Sandford's gifts will allow you to work on some titles on a pre character or to send them to post. Check here for Item of the Day: http://www.google.com/calendar/embed...erica/New_York Pre is a cool place to hangout when you need a break from the rest of the game.
